A Lasting Gift of Comfort for Veterans at ALVGC
At American Lake Veterans Golf Course (ALVGC), some of the most meaningful moments happen beyond the fairways and greens. The clubhouse is where Veterans gather before and after their rounds, reconnect with friends, share stories, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes this course such a special place.
When the clubhouse's aging heating and cooling systems began to fail, maintaining that welcoming environment became a significant challenge. Replacing the equipment throughout the building, which spans 8,500 square feet, would require a substantial investment for a nonprofit that depends on volunteers and community support.
That's when three remarkable partners stepped forward.
Home Comfort Alliance, Carrier, and Ferguson HVAC joined forces to provide six new high performance heating and cooling units. Carrier and Ferguson donated the equipment, while Home Comfort Alliance contributed the professional installation. Together, they delivered a major infrastructure improvement that will benefit the Veterans who visit ALVGC for years to come.
Comfort Today. Savings for Years to Come.
The impact of this donation extends well beyond keeping the clubhouse warm in winter and cool in summer. The new energy efficient systems are also expected to reduce heating and cooling expenses, creating an ongoing financial benefit for the course.
For an organization that receives no federal or state operating funding and relies on more than 230 dedicated volunteers, those savings are especially meaningful. Lower operating costs help preserve resources that can be invested in maintaining the course, improving facilities, and supporting Veterans.
"We rely entirely on the generosity of those who care," said Sam Williams, General Manager of ALVGC. "This massive donation from Ferguson, Home Comfort Alliance, and Carrier ensures our clubhouse remains a comfortable, year-round sanctuary for hope, healing, and brotherhood."
Our sincere thanks to Home Comfort Alliance, Carrier, Ferguson HVAC, and everyone who helped make this project possible. Your generosity demonstrates the lasting difference businesses can make when they come together to support those who served.
ALVGC continues to grow and improve through partnerships like these. If your organization would like to make a meaningful difference for Veterans, we invite you to Support the Mission.
