Getting Started Is Easy
New to Golf? You Are Welcome Here.
You do not need experience, a handicap, or even your own set of clubs to get started.
Volunteer instructors can help you learn the game or return after time away, with practice and instruction available at a pace that works for you. Donated golf equipment is also refurbished by American Lake volunteers and may be available to veterans based on current inventory.
The important part is simply being interested in giving the game a try.
American Lake is committed to making golf accessible to veterans with different abilities.
Accessible facilities, specialized mobility golf carts, adaptive resources, and instruction are available to help more veterans participate in the game and enjoy the course alongside the rest of the American Lake community.
If you have questions about what support may be available, talk with us before your visit. We will help you understand your options.
Golf for More Veterans
The score matters for a few hours. The experience lasts much longer.
American Lake is about the challenge of the game, time outdoors, friendly competition, familiar faces, and conversations shared along the way. It is a place where veterans can enjoy golf while being part of a community built around shared experience.
For veterans who already play here, that is something worth being proud of. For those who have not yet experienced American Lake, we invite you to come see what brings people back.
