'56 Chevy Car Raffle Official Rules

Sponsored by the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course. The Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course is a charitable 501(c)3 organization located in Lakewood, Washington. Our mission is to help disabled veterans find physical, emotional and recreational renewal through the great game of golf.

DONATIONS For each $10.00 donation, a single raffle entry will be generated for the donor. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Friends of ALVGC56. A "donation" shall not occur and be binding on the Friends of ALVGC56 until funds received for the same has cleared the bank. Credit cards accepted for in-person are VISA and MasterCard.

Each donation shall constitute an "entry" into the raffle drawing, and the person to whom the entry is registered shall be the "entrant." Although more than one name may be provided on the entry registration form, the entry shall be registered to the first name listed, who shall constitute the sole Entrant for that ticket. The winning Entrant shall be the "winner" of the prize. Transfer of prize ownership will be made to the Entrant. The winner must supply his/her social security number before the prize is tendered. It is the sole responsibility of the Entrant to allocate a winning prize to other participants in case of a multiple entry registration, and the winning Entrant shall hold harmless the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course in case of conflicting claims or disputes among multiple claimants.

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW This raffle is conducted in accordance with gaming laws enacted and enforced by the state of Washington and void in areas prohibited or restricted by law. Raffle promoters and/or the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course are not responsible for lost or stolen entries. Raffle entries will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course, if attempts are made to disrupt the Raffle or circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules. If the above occurs, Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course reserves the right to remedy any such action, disruption, or circumvention in a manner, determined solely by the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course that is fair and equitable to Raffle participants.

The Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course, its members, officers, directors, agents, and representatives and their parent organizations, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising, promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (ii) failed, returned, or misdirected notifications based on inaccurate information provided by the winner; or (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties resulting from participation in this Raffle of otherwise; (iv) errors in transmission; (v) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course that may cause the Raffle to be disrupted or corrupted (vi) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Raffle; or (vii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Raffle.

ELIGIBILITY Entrants must be 18 years of age or older on, or before, April 15, 2012 The Entrant must supply his/her social security number to receive prize. If an Entrant's check or credit card is dishonored prior to the drawing, the entry ticket will be declared invalid, until a replacement donation is received. All check or credit card charges found dishonored after the drawing must be honored. A $20.00 charge will be assessed for non-sufficient funds or stop payment checks.

DRAWING The raffle drawing will take place on April 16, 2012 at the American Lake Veterans Golf Course. If not depleted prior to the official prize drawing, entries will be available via in-person donation until the day of the drawing. The winner does not need to be present at the time of the drawing and will be notified by the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course within 7 business days of the drawing. It is the responsibility of the donor/entrant to provide a valid, mailing address, phone and/or email address for notification.

PRIZE The prize winner for the April 16, 2012 drawing will be awarded a 1956 Chevy Bel-Air. Winner does not need to be present at the drawing. The winner must claim their prize within 14 days from notification, per directions provided in the notification letter. He/she is responsible for picking up the car on a date, time and site within Pierce County, WA designated by the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course. Failure to claim the prize within 14 days will result in forfeiture of the prize.

All federal, state and local income, sales and/or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prize, are the responsibility of the holder of the winning ticket. The IRS has taken the position that amounts donated for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. Winner must complete a W-9 form before receiving prize. For further information, consult your qualified financial advisor.

WAIVER/LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY Entrants release the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course, board of directors, committee members, officers, volunteers, and representative agents from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion and possession of the prize. Any liability of the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course shall be limited to the donation amount. In case of a dispute, the Friends'  decision shall be final. The Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.

Entrant agrees to allow the Friends of American Lake Veterans Golf Course to use his/her name and/or image without any compensation for any promotional activity related to this or any future raffle. Any and all addresses and contact information of the purchaser will not be released to the public.
